1. Bad Company – Bad Company

I love this album first off for the melodies and the lyrics, but also the music is so timeless. Nobody could ever recapture that feel or energy on that record; it was absolute magic. Paul Rogers voice is just amazing there is no other person that sounds like him.

2. Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band – Night Moves

This album reminds me of my childhood. It gives me a feeling of nostalgia. I know I didn’t grow up in the mid 70s, but man, what a time it would’ve been. Muscle cars, bowling alleys, cigarettes and whiskey. That’s what Night Moves reminds me of, not to mention Bob Segar’s golden voice and beautiful melodies.

3. Creedence Clearwater Revival – Cosmos Factory

Every song on this record was an absolute smash. I don’t know if there was something in the water or some kind of magic around those guys. Who’ll Stop the Rain, As Long as I Can See the Light are some of the best songs ever written. These are the songs I will always go back to when I’m down and out or if I just want to listen to good music.

4. Nickelback – Here and Now

Tracks like This Means War, Bottoms Up, Holding on to Heaven and When We Stand Together are forever special to me. I grew up listening to the band and their lyrical content. They drove me to write better songs. It’s all about trying to help your brother and sister through this life, but, on the other hand, they have their party songs. They can do both. Chad Kroeger has a voice from God. Definitely, one of my favorite singers.

5. Audioslave – Audioslave

Where do I begin, I can go on and on about Chris Cornell’s vocals and Rage’s music, but the special thing about it all is how different that band was when they came together. That first record is the pinnacle of rock records for me. Chris has some of the most unique melodies I’ve ever heard. I think it’s because he truly was engulfed in music his whole entire life. That’s what’s so special. Nobody will ever be able to recreate it.
