French melodic death metallers have just released a new record
Formed in Paris in 2010 by guitarists Alain and Lucho and bassist Fabien, Sound Of Memories plays a masterful symbiosis of thrash and death metal merged with heavy metal harmonized guitar leads that brings to mind the early days of artists like Amon Amarth, Carcass and Children of Bodom.
With drummer Nacim and vocalist Flo filling in the ranks, Sound Of Memories started working on new material and in 2013 they released their first EP “Living Circles”, which was recorded at Zoe-H Studio (Herrschaft, The CNK…) and garnered some positive reactions from the press and fans.
In the following years, Sound Of Memories played a handful of festivals and shows in their home-country, but most of the band’s time was devoted to writing and rehearsing new material for their first full-length album. Earlier this year, the group entered the studio with producer Julien Delsol (Deep in Hate, 91 All Star…) to start the recordings of “To Deliverance”.
Darker, more complex and ambitious than “Living Circles”, this new effort is set for release in early November via Finisterian Dead End and shows that Sound Of Memories are strongly determined to carve a name for themselves in the current extreme metal scene.
