Metal To The Masses: Wolves – Grand Final Part One

Published:

Beginning our look at the almost sold-out M2TM final this weekend with the first two bands

So here’s the thing.

A little earlier in the year, a process began that could change the lives of one band in the Wolverhampton area forever.

Way back in February 23 bands, three judges, two promoters and two harassed ladies who’s job it was to count the votes, started on the road that all came down to this. The Grand Final.

Six bands through. Only one plays Bloodstock in August. And there’s a set from the mighty Eradikator – who won the Birmingham version last year (and if you don’t know why you should see them, here’s our review from their gig on Saturday)

Good luck to all the bands – it’s been a real pleasure being a judge. All of the bands that have played would have graced the final, but only these six can.

Here’s the first two.

Exiles Of Elysium.
They say: A 5 piece metal/hardcore band from Wolverhampton in the West Midlands, UK. The final and current lineup was formed early 2014 and the band is currently in the process of writing their upcoming debut EP “Stories”. The band has shared the stage with a variety of bands such as; Idols of Apathy, Heritage, Enemo-J, Create To Inspire, A Trust Unclean, Climates (Blood Youth) and more!

We say: Unbelievable energy and focus

GlassBullet

They say: A four piece Heavy Rock/Metal band from The West Midlands, UK. Combining each members separate influences, GlassBullet have become a proven name in The West Midlands Heavy Rock/Metal scene. Groove laden riffs and soaring vocals are at the centre of a powerful ‘wall of sound’ that GlassBullet strive to create with each and every song, bringing that into an powerful live environment.

We say: “Whether it is choruses or riffs, Glassbullet have that undefinable quality that makes a song sound huge” – MVM
