MY TOP FIVE SONGS: WITH FABRIZIO GROSSI

What Supersonic Blues Explosion man Fabrizio Grossi is listening to right now

This Friday sees the release of the brand new Supersonic Blues Explosion album, “Californisoul”. Look out for our review of this superb record on Wednesday, but in the meantime, we caught up with the bands bassist, producer and main songwriter, Fabrizio Grossi, and he told us what’s been floating his musical boat recently.

“These definitely my current TOP 5 among what I’ve been listening to lately,” said Fab.

Lenny Kravitz – Are You Gonna Go My Way :

It still hits me now the same way it did when it came out. I love Lenny’s music approach, choices and taste.

Would love being in a band with him !

U2 – One :

One of the best songs ever written, ever !!! It’s just pure love and poetry. I hope Bono will go back to this kind of delivery !

When they play like this, U2 has no rivals !!!

AC/DC – Highway to Hell :

It’s just the best Rock song bar none ! I still head bang to it, AC/DC absolutely rock !!!

It brings out the little rebel in each one of us.

Jane’s Addiction – Been Caught Stealin’  :

This band and song revolutionized my world when it came out. Unexpected , corky, but catchy and soon much “Los Angeles” ….

20 something years later, it’s still as effective !

Red Hot Chili Peppers – Californication :

I think this is the peek of Frusciante’s song writing. It took me a long time to get past the hookie chorus and catchy video, and truly get this song, but it’s just simply the incredible soundtrack of all the Hollywood’s broken dreams and drama of a generation. Frigging brilliant !!!!
