OH GOSH

Published:

Following the success of, ‘Never Lose You’, which garnered spins from national community radio and support from Triple J unearthed, GOSH are back with their unique blend of inciting lyrics and indie-rock, in their latest single ‘Say Another Thing‘. The four-piece band from Wollongong are on a steady incline as they gather new fans and turn heads from Australian tastemakers across the country, joining Pacific Avenue for shows in Sydney and Melbourne this June.

Recorded at The Grove Studios with Jack Nigro (DMA’s, Skegss) and mastered by Steve Smart (DZ Deathrays, City Calm Down), ‘Say Another Thing ‘ proves a fitting sequel to their previous release, ‘Never Lose You’, unveiling a building narrative of an uprising youth. Choruses explode, full of angst and hope from subdued verses, showcasing the band’s flair for dynamics. Lingering vocal melodies, over an arrangement of stabbing guitars and drums, ‘Say Another Thing‘ speaks to a generation who strive to uphold their ideals against the crippling weight of consumerism “To break through the ceiling is hard when you’re kneeling” (lyrics). “We tried to push this song further in terms of expressing a point, and saying something beyond our immediate sights and emotions” – GOSH

GOSH solidifies the message of ‘Say Another Thing‘ with a new video clip. Restrained in chains and colour, the black and white video clip mirrors the instrumentation of ‘Say Another Thing’ in visual form. “This song just felt like it could maybe use a little more explaining with a film clip, and so we dived head first into the whole “concept”” – GOSH
