Continuing our exclusive track by track run through the new “Destroy The Silence” – the brand new EP by Birmingham alt-rock trio Midnight Convoy
If you have been following MVM over the last few weeks, you will know we have been getting very excited about Midnight Convoy.
One of our staffers saw them support Dave McPherson recently and tipped us off as to their potential. Their recent gig supporting Hidden Skies and Rival State was enough to convince the rest of us he was on to something, and now they have released their new EP “Destroy The Silence.”
Last week it was “Opposition,” now we have “Voices.”
It’s a favourite of ours, with its heavy, crunchy opening – and any time cowbells are used has got to be good, right? Giving way to a melodic chorus, and it is very possibly the best track on the EP. Trust us, modern rock music does not get much better than this. No pretensions, no pandering to trends, this is the sound of three young men playing the music they want to play.
The final track on the record will be revealed next week. If you can’t wait that long, head to their Facebook page.
