Atlanta, Georgia’s modern metallers release a new EP

Breakthrough Even is a four-piece rock/metal band originating from Atlanta, Georgia, and they release their new EP “Legacy Of Dreams” on Monday.

It’s available here:

The band was created in mid 2011 after the members (guitarist Josh Turner, drummer Zach Turner, vocalist Noel Velazquez, and bassist Kerry Love) learned that music was something they all wanted to pursue after having played together as a hobby for many months beforehand. Initially, the band started with another guitar player, Jamey Sudduth, who contributed to early material. However, in late 2012 he was dismissed from the band due to his pursuit of other interests.

Breakthrough Even spent most of 2012 continuing to write original music (some of which would appear on their debut EP) and preparing for their first live show, Wicked Winterfest. The event was a battle of the bands contest that was held at The Masquerade in Atlanta, GA in March of 2013. The band didn’t win, however this did not deter them. Throughout the summer, they continued to play more shows in and around Atlanta, with highlights including a performance at Six Flags’ Live & Local event during the month of August and a return to The Masquerade in September to play what would be their last show for the year.

In late 2013, the band took a break from playing shows to record and produce their debut EP; titled The Step That Lies Ahead. The album was recorded at the band’s home studio throughout October and was mixed and mastered by Polish guitarist and audio engineer Maciej Dawidek of WidekRecords.
