Essex four piece PET NEEDS played Camden Rocks festival this weekend and had a great set on Saturday afternoon at the Dublin Castle.

It was only when the lights went up they realised one of their musical heroes Frank Turner had been in the room to catch the whole show. The band subsequently went on to enjoy the rest of the day and headed up to see Frank play the Electric Ballroom in the evening.  He then gave them a shout out on stage and came on for his encore wearing one of their ‘Punk’s Isn’t Dead (It’s Just Up for Sale)‘ t-shirts.   Already blown away, they travelled home and by Monday had sold over £500 worth of merchandise from their website (the irony of the statement was not lost on them!).

The band recently released a single ‘How To Perfectly Pretend‘ – see video here https://youtu.be/3RpfnUIJ7IMThey have a new track ‘I Don’t Wanna Be Only Happy‘ out at the end of the month and will be playing a couple of local shows in Colchester soon – details below.

14 June – Matchstick Boat Party, Big Red Boat, The Hythe, Colchester
