US Black Metal mob step it up
Krieg will perform at venues across the US this spring its leader, Neill Jameson, continues to push their latest album,Transient. Pitchfork asserts, “Transient is a claustrophobic listen that provides the illusion of walls closing in and ceilings coming down, even as its sound opens wider.”
Stereogum notes, “Transient is one of the finest USBM offerings of 2014, and a breakthrough for Krieg.” Released early September, Transient ended a four-year hiatus for the band. Decibel Magazine premiered the first official video by the band on the album’s release date for the song “Ruin Our Lives;” a visual hell-fest of fast-tracked cinematic images.
Static Sessions, a collaborative music video project by the team of Nic Justice and CJ Blair, today has posted “Return Fire” (http://bit.ly/1EJEx5A) to their Facebook stream; the sessions recorded in Philadelphia last autumn at Drowning Fish Studios.
