Water crisis in their hometown  leads to stunning new track

KING 810, have released a new track entitled ‘We Gotta Help Ourselves,’ which takes aim at the current ‘lead-tainted water’ crisis in their hometown of Flint, Michigan.

The issue is currently at the top of news headlines in the US, but to KING 810 is a local issue affecting KING‘s own community and something they’ve been vocal about for a long time.  A state of emergency had been declared in the Michigan city.

To help raise funds for action, KING 810 has partnered with local Flint printing outlet, Savage Village to create a unique T-shirt design to be sold in aid of the Community Foundation of Greater Flint’s ‘Flint Child Health & Development Fund.’ 100% of the proceeds from T-shirt sales will go directly to the Foundation.  To purchase a shirt, please visit

Frontman David Gunn commented, “We chose to work with the Flint Child Health & Development Fund because we believe children are the most important people in the equation.  They’re also affected the most by what’s going on.  Aside from the urgent need for clean water, it’s important to focus on the long term effects that could come as a result to this exposure, so that’s our main focus here.”

The needs of Flint children exposed to lead, particularly those most vulnerable – children ages 0-6 years – are ongoing and long-term.  Donations to the Flint Child Health & Development Fund will be used for critical interventions today and well into the future.  For more information on the Community Foundation of Greater Flint and the ‘Flint Child Health & Development Fund’ go to
