The cat’s out of the bag. After a teaser Facebook campaign, GUN have released a brand new single. Their take on the Hot Chocolate classic ‘Every 1’s A Winner’ is out now via Caroline. Once again GUN are putting their stamp on a track well outside their comfort zone, and doing it with style.
The choice of track emerged from a rehearsal studio jam. While waiting for the others to arrive Jools starting playing the riff – as other band members turned up, the song took shape and by the end of the rehearsal the decision was made. The finished version is a rockier version of the seventies classic with additional backing vocals.
‘Every 1’s A Winner’ is set to be included on a digital re-release of their latest album ‘Frantic’ on September 25th, along with the ‘East End EP’, which was released as a fan only CD earlier this year. To support the release, the band has announced an extensive run of UK dates for the autumn.
