Sometimes a band just slides onto your radar and you feel like they’ve always been there, some other times a band smashes into your life and bring a sense that you’ve been missing out all along! Crushed By Waves are the second kind. Following their latest single, Won’t Get Out Alive, a slot at Download festival and a summer full of other festival appearances and new music, you are probably thinking “Who The F**K are Crushed By Waves”. Crushed By Waves write from experience, with the new track being a statement of why they are putting everything into their art. The band explain: “Won’t Get Out Alive is all about keeping the faith, pushing through the hardest times, holding on, and never giving up, even if it kills us. When we see our music can bring a room full of strangers together, the energy in that room is worth dying for, it actually gives us life.” |

With several sold out hometown shows in Manchester, a run of UK shows with DFLM label mates Two Year Break, and appearances in 2023 at several festivals including Takedown, Hammerdown, and Radar Festival and winning a coveted slot at the Boardie Takeover at Download’s 20th Edition from over 500 applications, alongside brand new music released across the summer, Crushed By Waves are hell bent on just getting their music into the faces of as many people as possible, grabbing the proverbial bull firmly by the metal horns and preparing for one hell of a ride.
Won’t Get Out Alive was recorded and mixed by Oz Craggs at Hidden Track Studios and was self- released.
Hailing from North West UK, Crushed By Waves deliver their own brand of hard-hitting, no apologies, gritty alternative rock. Since releasing their debut single ‘Ceiling’ in late 2020, Crushed By Waves have been showcasing their sound on the UK alternative rock scene – a cathartic blend of melodic verses, power-house breakdowns and anthemic choruses, which has seen the band steadily gain a growing fanbase and the attention of industry, with their first four singles receiving radio plays on Radio 1, Kerrang! Radio and Planet Rock. |
