New video from Irish band
Homecomings are a three piece acoustic emo outfit that combine intricate melodic guitar parts with honest, personal and relatable lyrics that you can’t but help sing along to.
From a seaside town on the East Coast of Ireland, Homecomings has been compared more to acts on the East Coast of America such as Transit and Turnover. Formed in 2014, the band have been heavily involved in the punk scene in Ireland supporting acts such as The Front Bottoms & Steady Hands along the way. Having recently released their Debut EP in May of 2016 via Never Meant Records, the Acoustic rockers have followed this up with a video for the track “Fix Me”.
Here’s what singer Oscar Hackett had to say about the track:
“I’ve always found it quite hard to move on from relationships, I guess I just find it weird to become strangers with someone you used to talk to everyday even though it’s for the best. So naturally after spending five years in a relationship I felt quite lost and wasn’t sure what to do with myself, so like always I turned to music. I wrote this song and the rest of the EP to help get me through a rough patch and help me move past it.”
