Merseyside Symphonic Folkers have just released their EP
Cathar are a six-piece Symphonic Folk Metal band from Merseyside, England.
Combining dual lead male and female vocals with a strong melodic presence, powerful rhythm sections and fantastical, story-driven lyrics, Cathar aim for a sound that is sophisticated and epic.
Recorded at The Recording Room Birkenhead in January 2015, ‘The Grimoire’ is Cathar’s debut EP; a diverse and atmospheric collection of the band’s first five tracks.
