Alt rockers release new EP next year

By echoing luminaries such as Royal Blood and Queens of the Stone Age, taking a helping of Black Sabbath and a nod from Ziggy Stardust, Dark Sky Park are primed to break out in 2016 with the national release of their new EP ‘Follow Me’, which hits all stores on Friday 8th January.

Born on a hot winter’s night in a rooftop pool in Tenerife, Sheffield’s Dark Sky Park were formed in 2013 and are quickly gaining a reputation for doing things a little differently. With a keen affection for brooding atmospherics, heavy stoner-esque vibes and hooky vocal lines, Dark Sky Park boost a sound that is engulfing and packed with groove and raw power.

Featuring Debbie Bilson (Vocals), Ainsley Stones (Guitar), Hannah Jasper (Drums), and Aidan Hall (Bass), Dark Sky Park have been wooing audiences throughout the North since their inception. Now with a head of steam behind them, the alt-rockers are set to nationally release their brand new EP ‘Follow Me’.

The EP’s namesake starts proceedings and soon burrows itself deep into your pores with its unshakeable hypnotic groove which calls to mind both ‘Queens Of The Stone Age’ and even fellow hometowners ‘Arctic Monkeys’. As the record unfolds it takes you on a seedy voyage of introspective rock that flirts with stoner mood swings and is laced with dark undertones. With tour dates on the horizon in support of the EP, Dark Sky Park are ripe to hit the national scene and rise in 2016.
