The Inspector Cluzo highly anticipated new album Horizon is out today via F.thebassplayer Records. To coincide with album launch, the Guascon duo is thrilled to launch the fourth single taken from the record, Rockophobia feat. Iggy Pop. In addition to the album release, The Inspector Cluzo will also be releasing the documentary Running AFamily Farm, which follows from the Rockfarmers launched 8 years ago.
Rockophobia is the 4th single taken from the record and also the focus track. It is a funny song in which the band wonders “what does rock mean today?”. Laughing at Iggy Pop, who enjoyed it and sent them back an answer that the band slid in at the end of the song.
Horizon is the band’s 9th studio album. It is an electric one, a rock one. Three years in the making, three years of process and once again produced in Nashville by the band’s friend and mentor Vance Powell (Chris Stapleton, the Raconteurs, Jack White). This is certainly “the most personal album of the Cluzos” according to Vance Powell. Why?
The band comments: “Because everything is in it, each song is related to an event inour life, something that wepersonally experienced, especially as professional farmers. Our fight against the big factory farms to protect ourgeese and our‘Lou Casse‘ farm;our fight to protect an agro-ecologic agriculture system against both the big farming corporations and the green-washing propaganda.Songs like:‘Running a family farm is more rock than playing rock‘n’roll music‘ or ‘Saving the geese‘ talk about the massive bird flu pandemic we had to face too.Songs about environmental aspect, like ‘Swallows‘ diseappearing bit by bit, because of chemical farming products. The title track‘Horizon‘ is certainly our most personal, linked to ourownlife philosophy. This track was written 15 years ago, and recorded for the firstLP, but we never achieved the result we had in mind until now”.
The Inspector Cluzo are set to release brand new record Horizon on 27th January 2023, via F.thebassplayer Records. Three singles have already been released: Horizon, Swallows,Running A Family Farm Is More Rock Than Playing Rock’n’Roll Music.
