Frontiers Music is excited to announce the signing of Brazilian melodic death metal act Sculptor, who become the latest band to join the label’s rapidly expanding metal roster. They are currently working on their first album for the label, which is anticipated for release in 2020.
Based in the city of Curitiba (also the home of labelmates Semblant, Landfall, and Electric Mob), Sculptor was founded in 2015 by Vinne (vocals, guitars), who is joined by Rick Eraser (vocals), Caco Ramos (bass), Fabricio Reis (guitars) and Mateus Schran (drums). Their 2018 debut album, ‘Untold Secrets’, was recorded at the band’s own studio in Curitiba, produced by Vinne and Rick, and then mixed by Linus Corneliusson at Fascination Street Studios (Sweden). Showcasing a wide-ranging set of influences, the band’s style can be described as akin to early era albums by the likes of Dark Tranquillity, In Flames, Soilwork and Tiamat.
