BAND OF THE DAY: NIGHTLIVES

Published:

South Wales electro punks NIGHTLIVES continue their rise with the release of their explosive and all-consuming new single, Ways Of Making You Talk – https://youtu.be/VVCkXnrfNak , out now.

Possessing a sound that takes from the hard-hitting delivery of Rage Against The Machine, the electronic wizardry of Nine Inch Nails, the melodic guile of Don Broco and the theatrical expression of My Chemical Romance, NIGHTLIVES fuse urgent electronic instrumentation with full throttle riffery; the result is immense and absolutely captivating.

Born in 2017 and hailing from Cardiff, the foursome have quickly cemented themselves as part of the UK music scene. Recent support shows with everyone from Holding Absence, VUKOVI, Dream State, and Loathe have seen NIGHTLIVES’ following increase and fanbase expand.
Already famed for their blistering live performances and a gargantuan sound that eclipses the small club stages they have frequented, the band are destined for bigger things.

As well as a hefty live reputation, the band’s recording and visual output is impressive. At the beginning of 2019 , the quartet released the mammoth track, Under The Radar https://youtu.be/PE5yVHyprWY  alongside an ambitious and engaging music video which captures an entire 80’s slasher movie packed into 6 minutes and 18 seconds. Never ones to lack ambition, NIGHTLIVES have now upped the ante again with the release of their mesmerising new single and accompanying video, Ways Of Making You Talk. Vocalist, Taf Richards remarks about the video: “We knew we had to think of a way to top our last video, and as soon as we finished the demo of the song, we knew what this video had to be. It’s the most insane, OTT thing we’ve ever done.”
