Anti-Fade and Spoilsport Records in Australia, and Feel It Records in the US are ecstatic to announce that the debut album Forever Giving Handshakes from Delivery will see a UK release on May 19th and a UK tour.
Mixing their own unique blend of quirky garage rock with spiky post-punk riffs, Forever Giving Handshakes is a collection of catchy songs written over the Melbourne five-piece’s two-year lifespan following the band’s 7” bedroom project origins of ‘Yes We Do’ and the expanded one-two punch of ‘Personal Effects/The Topic’. This debut long-player captures Delivery at full force for the first time, leaning into the now fully enhanced live sound they’ve been quite actively working towards since their first show in March 2021.
To introduce their energetic sound the band released ‘Baader Meinhof’, a synth-punk blitz and live show favourite that takes lyrical cues from the Baader Meinhof phenomenon, a “frequency illusion” when you notice something for the first time and then have the tendency to the notice it more and more often.

Main vocalist for the track Rebecca Allan details that the song leans into the annoyance of letting your brain play tricks on you and not “buying into overthinking about that stuff”. If you didn’t have the Delivery phenomenon yet, you’re about to.
Forever Giving Handshakes is a 12-track garage-punk opus, their five distinct voices simultaneously pulling songs in different directions while an undeniable chemistry reveals a combined hive mind ascending on a clear group mission… to rock.
The album cycles through many distinct genre moments, however it all comes back to being a rock album. Following the recording methods of the first two releases, the band planned “to make the album feel and sound like the live version of the band as much as possible.” There was a sense of urgency to the recording, mostly recorded live in their Brunswick rehearsal space. They recorded over five days with the band stating that “majority of the vibe was definitely captured in those practice space sessions” as they were working “pretty hard and fast to try and catch the band in our element.”
Their debut is a perfect example of a band hitting their stride, expanding to four lead vocalists while demonstrating perfect interplay between three guitars and a rhythm section at its most propulsive. Still spearheaded by James Lynch and Rebecca Allan, the band’s engine room now fully incorporates Lisa Rashleigh, Sam Harding and Daniel Devlin, to create a listen that blurs punk freneticism with pop eccentricities.
In March this year, Delivery made many friends playing alongside Fourtet, Bikini Kill and others at the Golden Plains Festival in Victoria. The Australian legacy of raising a shoe in the air was observed across the crowd. A legit appreciation sign that the 5-piece seem to pick up everywhere as they drop their storming live show on new ears. In a short space of time, they’ve shared stages with the likes of Tropical Fuck Storm, Cash Savage, Party Dozen and Stroppies, and they now have the UK and Europe in their sights this May with a selection of live shows announced today.
“Sometimes this kind of music can be served up with a big dose of irony, and I think Delivery have fully avoided that,” add the band. I think a priority is having fun and I hope people can hear that. In short, there’s nothing better than rocking out, and guitar solos should never die.”
