Cornish psych-prog-punks Hanterhir have been waiting months to release their version of Sonic Youth’s ‘Schizophrenia’.
Originally scheduled for Record Store Day on 18th April, Covid-19 saw off any chance of that happening. It will now finally see the light of day on the first of the RSD Drop days, Saturday 29th August.
The video was compiled from footage shot at the band’s Kernow In The City gig at Rich Mix, Shoreditch in early March, immediately prior to lockdown.
Backed with a cover of ‘Dancing Out In Space’ learned from David Bowie’s The Next Day album, and issued through Easy Action Records, the single will be available as an extremely collectable white vinyl 7-inch in a limited edition of 400 copies. The celebratory pasties, originally baked for inclusion with the release, have all sadly now been eaten.
