ABOUT THE BANDS AND LABEL

Little Rocket Records

Little Rocket launched amidst tragedy, frustration and a passion to ‘Do It Properly’.

The Rockets wanted to go back to basics: a full service one stop point of access for bands.  Distancing themselves from the modern process whereby a label starts and ends with sending music to a pressing plant, the Rockets are more invested than that; guiding, financing and supporting bands from recording the record, publicising the record, touring the record and everything else in-between.

Between the three Rockets there is a wealth of experience: Graeme Rocket (Leatherface/Medictation/Big Ugly Fish/Pouzza Festival/Bunker 13 Recording Studio), Mark Rocket (Paper+Plastick/Rarebreed) and Daniel Rocket (The Moving Development) were brought together through the events described above.  More Rockets will come and go to make this work; this is a community label.  To keep up-to-date sign up to our mailing list.

Wolves Wolves Wolves & Wolves

Wolves&wolves&wolves&wolves is an indie punk rock band from Winston Salem, NC, that combine the soul and ferocity of punk rock with the brash intensity of rock n’ roll. They’ve seen their fair share of member changes over the years, but the current lineup is – founding members/brothers Brian(lead vocals and guitar) and Kyle(drums); Ryan(lead guitar and vocals) who joined after filling in on the band’s 2014 southeast tour; and Jake(bass and vocals) a longtime friend that stepped in after Wolves parted ways with their original bassist.

Since 2013, Wolves released a full length album, two seven inches, and has been featured on countless compilations in the U.S. and Europe. January 2013 they self released the full length “Subtle Serpents” which would later see release in Europe through Gunner Records in March of 2015. June 2014 “Scorched Earth” a 4-song EP was released on vinyl through their own label XV/XIII, and on cassette through Flesh and Bone Records. August 2015, in collaboration with Wiretap Records, they released “Scars” another 4-song EP on vinyl. 2016 will see multiple releases from the band, first a split EP cassette tape with NC friends Almost people, and then their sophomore album. “The Cross and The Switchblade” will be available in the U.S. in May, and then in Europe in the Fall.

The Run Up

The Run Up are a 5-piece melodic punk rock band from Bristol / Birmingham (often meeting in the middle) who have carved out a strong reputation in their homeland UK scene, on the basis of their fun but energetic and passionate live shows.

The band formed in 2014 and set out to have as much fun as possible.

Childhood friends, Nick and Daniel started writing songs together after around 10 years of not seeing each other. With a few line up changes in 2015, including the recruitment of Mark (Guerilla Monsoon), an old friend and ex band-mate (Hopewood), and Rob on drums, the band reworked some songs and completed their 5-track EP that retains the energy that is evident in their performances.

Mixtape Saints

Sometimes Acoustic, Sometimes Electric. Sometimes Full Band, Sometimes Solo Mixtape Saints Play Punk Rock Soul.

Based in the Middle of the Midlands in the UK, Mixtape Saints began in the Spring of 2012 as a new project for songwriter/guitarist Sam Moloney. After a run of solo shows and the release of demo tracks later that year, Mixtape Saints became a full band in 2013 and began working on a series of new songs that would culminate in the release of a 4-track EP Heavy Water in November.

The EP generated positive reviews from both the media and the UK Punk Scene and led to Mixtape Saints receiving radio play both in the UK on the BBC, and internationally on several American and European Stations. A run of shows and festival dates playing with such as Iron Chic, Muncie Girls, Modern Baseball, Creeper, The Flatliners etc. cemented the band’s reputation further, and in 2015 led to the band being featured on Paper+Plastick Records’ compilation “Welcome to the UK”.

In follow up to Heavy Water, Mixtape Saints have announced the release of a new acoustic EP titled Bright Lights/Burned Out.  The EP was recorded by Sam and Mixtape Saints Guitarist Dan Kiener at Dan’s home in Stratford On Avon throughout the summer of 2016

Fuelled by coffee; cigarettes, and conversations about Buddy Holly – Bright Lights/Burned Out contains 5 brand new tracks and will be released on a short run of cassettes as well as a digital download this September through Little Rocket Records.
