* There’s only three gigs so its not a big battle
Following a blistering 2015, wars (intentionally lowercase) have revealed they will be keeping their foot firmly on the gas in the new year, entering the studio in January to lay down their debut full-length with producer Matt O’Grady (Architects, Your Demise).
Before entering full studio lockdown, the hotly-tipped five piece will shake off any post-holiday blues with a string of intimate club dates alongside newly signed Reading quintet, High Hopes.
Says wars vocalist, Rob Vicars: “Having been consumed by the writing process in the latter half of 2015, one thing we’re really excited to do in 2016 is hit the road properly. We’re a live band, we absolutely live for playing shows, and we can’t think of a better way to kick off the year than these dates with the awesome High Hopes. This is a last stretch of the legs before we lock ourselves away in the studio to get our next release down, so we’re going to be going at these shows hard before the cabin fever sets in!”
January UK tour dates with High Hopes:
08 Scunthorpe, Cafe Indiependent (tickets)
09 Kettering, The Prince of Wales (free entry)
10 Birmingham, The Rainbow (tickets)
