Frontiers Music Srl recently announced the signing of the exciting new melodic rock band About Us to their roster. From India, and more specifically from a district in the state of Nagaland called Wokha (‘Land of Plenty’), the group will release their self-titled debut album globally on 11th November. A single and video from the record entitled ‘Gimme Gimme’ has been released today, while a video for the previously issued single ‘Right Now’ is available HERE
About Us formed in late 2019, with the group members bonding over a collective musical taste running the gamut from AOR to hard rock and metal. They released their first single, ‘Loaded Love’, in late 2020 with a video for its follow-up ‘Gimme Gimme’ (reissued today) receiving half a million views and gaining attention from regional mainstream media in their home territory. The Indian daily newspaper Morung Express declared ‘ROCK IS BACK!’, while the track won Best Rock category at both the MG Nagaland Music Awards and the Music Awards of Nagaland in 2021.
Wrapping up a busy 2021, About Us released their self-titled debut album in India only before signing with Frontiers. Impressed with the group’s innovative take on the melodic rock genre, the label is now giving the album a full global release.
