After years of hard-earned road time, Tylor & the Train Robbers are set to release Tylor & the Train Robbers Live on January 23. The Boise-based Americana outfit —celebrated for their character-driven songwriting and propulsive performances—are giving fans what they’ve long asked for: a career-spanning double live album featuring 23 songs that blend definitive originals and select covers, documenting the dynamic spirit of their shows and the genuine bond they’ve forged with audiences over the past decade.

Produced by Adam Odor (Silverada, Jason Boland, Colter Wall), this project was recorded at Treefort Music Hall in Boise, ID, tracing the band’s trajectory from their 2017 debut Gravel to last year’s acclaimed Hum of the Road. As a nod to their roots, the album also includes four digital-only covers that bridge country, Americana, and roots-rock — paying homage to the legends who shaped their sound, including Pinto Bennett & The Famous Motel Cowboys, The Byrds, Tom Petty, The Doobie Brothers, and Waylon Jennings. Tylor & the Train Robbers Live will be available on vinyl and across all digital platforms. “For years, fans have been asking us for a live album — something that captures the raw energy of our shows, which can be hard to replicate in a studio setting,” explains frontman Tylor Ketchum. “Not that we aren’t proud of our studio records — we are — but live and studio are just two different beasts. We’ve been traveling the country like a roving circus, and we felt like it was finally time to give people the full experience. A double album gave us the space to showcase the depth of the set we play night after night — no need for a full tank of gas or a 20-hour drive.”

In addition to Ketchum, the band featured on this album includes brothers Jason and Tommy Bushman on bass and drums, Antonio Vazquez on lead guitar, and Rider Soran on pedal steel, lap steel and electric guitar. United by family, a tireless work ethic, and a dedication to honest storytelling, Tylor & the Train Robbers possess an unmistakable musical chemistry. Their sound blends outlaw country, red-dirt rock, folk, and Western soul, drawing inspiration from Robert Earl Keen, Townes Van Zandt, and Steve Earle while crafting a style entirely their own.

Since their vivid, story-rich sophomore album Best of the Worst Kind (2019), the band has continued to evolve—working with producer Cody Braun of Reckless Kelly to expand their stylistic breadth on Non-Typical Find (2022) and Hum of the Road (2024). Across these albums, Ketchum’s songwriting and the band’s dynamic performances showcase their collective growth and embody the raw spirit of life on the road.

Tylor & the Train Robbers have shared stages with Americana heavyweights like Turnpike Troubadours, Reckless Kelly, Silverada, and The Wilder Blue, earning a reputation as one of the hardest-working and most authentic bands on the circuit. Whether playing an intimate club or a packed festival stage, they deliver performances rooted in honesty, grit, and brotherhood.

Looking ahead, the band will hit the road for an extensive national tour in 2026 — stay tuned for official dates and announcements.
