THE SHEEPDOGS EP AND TOUR

The Sheepdogs announce support for upcoming UK & European tour and release official music video for

latest single “Take Me For A Ride”

Right-on Canadian rockers The Sheepdogs who recently released a surprise E.P. titled “Paradise Alone” (August 22nd) are pleased to announce that they will be joined by fellow Canadian band The Commoners on all UK & EU dates, apart from Manchester where they will be joined by young Brighton-based band Creeping Jean.

Recorded with Grammy-award-winning engineer Matt Ross-Spang, “Paradise Alone” marks the beginning of a new chapter for the band who celebrate their 20th Anniversary this year. Released via Right On Records, the band’s own record label and distributed through The Orchard worldwide. The band have just released this groovy new official video for latest single “Take Me For A Ride,” currently in the top 20 at Canadian Rock Radio, A-listed on Planet Rock radio (UK) and on Spotify’s New Music Friday plus Most Downloaded Song at Canadian Radio – check it out HERE

This newfound freedom has empowered the band to make a major shift in how, and how often, they release music. Having just released one EP, with a big U.S. tour just starting, then the UK/EU tour coming up later this year, one could suspect there may be more music in the pipeline:

“We are so pleased to have “Paradise Alone” out there and available, and for sure, we want to be releasing music as often as we can, so watch this space…” he teases then continues “In a world of content, we believe that the best thing a band can offer is music, and that’s how we want to approach our releases. While funny videos are great, people ultimately are here for the music, so we’re setting up a system to deliver as much of it as possible (and yes, we’ll still make those funny videos too). “Paradise Alone” is the first in a series of planned releases, allowing us to experiment, collaborate, and take risks. Instead of sticking to the traditional album cycle, we want to challenge ourselves creatively and share more music with people.”

The beloved Canadian rockers who have just wrapped up a Quebec run of dates with fellow Canadian Bryan Adams will embark on a massive European headline tour this autumn and are excited to play new tunes on these upcoming tourdates from their brand new record.

Bassist, Ryan Gullen states: “It was a blast touring across Europe with Larkin Poe last year, but a bit of a tease playing such a short set. Can’t wait to come back and jam a full night of music with a whole bunch of new songs for folks. It’s gonna be a real good time”

The Sheepdogs will be joined by The Commoners for all dates apart from Manchester (UK) where they will be joined by Brighton band Creeping Jean. Ryan continues “We’re very excited to have a group of some fellow rock n roll lovin’ Canadians to come along with us this Autumn, they’re sure to get every night started out right”

The Commoners are a five-piece roots rock band from Toronto, Canada. Offering their own blend of a tried-and-true musical mixture, the group pepper their sound with high-energy riffs, soulful vocals, and rich harmonies that combine to take the listener on a journey through a Southern-style rock experience.
