Shiraz Lane released their second album, ‘Carnival Days’, in the early spring of 2018, although the promotion of it began in October 2017 with its first single (‘Harder To Breathe’) and an extensive tour with Brother Firetribe.
The band personifies creative variety, which resonates through their double-edged guitar sound (provided by lead guitarist Jani Laine and rhythm guitarist Miki Kalske), groovy-yet-solid ground pounding (Ana Willman on drums and bassist Joel Alex) and unmistakable high-soaring melodies of
singer Hannes Kett. Despite their relative youth, they are already veterans of the Finnish tour circuit and have earned a reputation for being loud, uncompromising and (most of all) the genuine article.
Although inspired by predecessors in their genre such as Aerosmith and Guns N’ Roses, their sound is developing into something unique, while peers such as Halestorm, The 69 Eyes, Amorphis, Children Of Bodom, Lordi and more have all praised the band’s stage prowess.Their debut album, ‘For Crying Out Loud’ was released in the spring of 2016 and was a success story from the very beginning in many European territories. The young rockers spent that summer playing festivals before packing their gear for a two month European tour with Lordi. Aside from the recording of ‘Carnival Days’, they have barely been off the road ever since. The quintet will complete 2018 with a month long mainland European tour alongside H.E.A.T. and Frontiers labelmates One Desire.
They will also play four UK shows this week at:
30.08.18 Â CARDIFF Fuel Rock Club
31.08.18 Â STAFFORD Redrum
01.09.18 Â LONDON O2Â Islington Bar Academy
02.09.18 Â SHEFFIELD O2 Academy / HRH Sleaze Festival
Go and have a bit of fun with some Finns….
