After releasing 3 albums, 2 EP’s and touring the world multiple times as headliner and with Airbourne, and touring Australia constantly with Rose Tattoo, The Angels, Baby Animals, Tea party, The Screaming Jets, Endless Boogie, Nick Oliveri and many more, Palace Of The King return with a blistering new hard rock track which sees the band back on the airwaves in top form sounding fresh and re-energised.

I’m Sorry Blues features new production elements from Tim Henwood showing that POTK is far from the scrap heap and ready to rock well into the future. Henwood snarls out a killer bluesy rock vocal as only he can, sounding classic rock and modern young and edgy all at the same time. Robert Plant, Josh Kiszka and Steve Marriot would all be proud.

The drums by Cameron McGlinchey are insanely good and full of energy. McGlinchey joined the band after returning from Europe in 2016, and after hearing the previous POTK singles featuring Mcglinchey, it’s obvious to hear his almost Rage Against The Machine style influence on the band and that he is bringing an incredible amount of energy to ‘I’m Sorry Blues’.

Of course, the foundation for any Palace Of The King record is the always inspired and amazing Seany Johnston who plays both keys and guitar on this track like a hybrid of Jimi Hendrix and John Lord combined into one fantastic package of beautiful rock n roll music.

Anthony Licciardi lays down the bass along with McGlinchey in such a brutal, forceful way it’s easy to see why he has such a reputation as a force of nature at POTK gigs. When the band is cranking Licciardi slams the bass and when things get funky, he’s right there with McGlinchey laying it down.

2022 and the forthcoming album sees the return of the great and powerful Leigh Maden to POTK after sitting on the bench throughout the Get Right With Your Maker album and tour. Maden’s soulful style and retro feel is a welcome return to the band, and one can’t help but feel there’s a magic that has come along for the ride.
