THE GENESIS: BACK TO THE FUTURE
Building on the success of Relics Of Tree Worship In Dub (ROTW), The CHANT Artist Collective (C.A.C.) returns with its seminal second release: ‘Relics Of Tree Worship In Dub (Gaudi & Don Letts Roots Dub Plates)’. Releasing digitally on 18 September 2026, this album digs straight back into the original sonic soil from which the entire project first sprouted. Far from a standard remix album, this release subverts traditional protocols by presenting the foundational recordings – the original guiding lights in the sky – allowing what came before to follow on. The original foundational tracks were composed, arranged, and mixed by Youth, Tom Grashion, Jamie Grashion, and Dan Morrell.
These master tracks were then remixed with additional production by legends Gaudi & Don Letts into these dub explorations. The original release features an unprecedented assembly of collaborators including Youth (Martin Glover), Gaudi, Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, Kermit Leveridge (Black Grape), Don Letts, Dan Morrell, Tom Grashion, Jamie Grashion, and Planetman. Released by eco-label Balance Recordings, the initiative moves “beyond offsetting” into direct land art and global reforestation.
