Heavy punk/metal band American Terror has dropped “Attitude”, the first single and video from their upcoming sophomore album. The aggressive, snotty, uptempo track and its raw, dirty, DIY-style video are out today on all major digital platforms.

American Terror’s critically-acclaimed debut record, “Influencer”, arrived in May 2020 and led to the band tallying up 225,000+ Spotify streams. The album arrived on the heels of the success of the singles “Judgement” and “She’s A Bitch”. These two tracks leading up to the full-length release quickly built momentum for the band, thanks to features on Spotify’s editorial and algorithmic playlists, in addition to spots on hundreds of user playlists. Prominent rock media outlets took notice and covered the band’s progress, including iHeartRadio, Revolver Magazine, KNAC, Blabbermouth, BraveWords, and Ultimate-Guitar. The band recently made “Influencer” available in translucent red vinyl LP, CD, and HD download formats; these are available to purchase at their official web store. The album was released by EMP Label Group, the label founded by Megadeth bassist David Ellefson.

“Influencer” was followed up by a hard-hitting, genre-bending remix of “Judgement” featuring legendary rapper Sticky Fingaz (known for his group Onyx’s hit “Slam” in the ‘90s & his comeback feature on Eminem’s “Marshall Mathers LP”; also, a 2020 ASCAP songwriter award-winner for his work with Travis Scott). The one-off single “Legend”, a cover of a lost track from legendary hip-hop group House of Pain, followed in February 2021. The band then teamed up with world-renowned rapper Krizz Kaliko (a frequent fixture of Tech N9ne’s records and his Strange Music label over the past two decades) to release a remix of their single “She’s A Bitch”. The hard-hitting, tongue-in-cheek, old-school-meets-new-school hip-hop track collected over 20,000 streams in its first few weeks of release.

“Attitude” was engineered, produced, and mixed by vocalist Brad Cox at his Black Paw Studios in Lawrenceville, GA. Brad is partners in the publishing company Black Paw Music with legendary producer Mike Clink (Guns N’ Roses, Megadeth, Metallica). The track was mastered by Troy Glessner (Disturbed, New Found Glory) at Spectre Studios in Seattle, WA. The band’s studio and creative lineup includes guitarist Pat Valley and drummer Rob Hammersmith (Skid Row), with bassist GK Via stepping in live.

American Terror adds: The song was written and recorded during Covid lockdown. Between racial, class and political tensions and not to mention police issues, it felt like the world was going mad and everyone is all the sudden turning on each other.

So basically I am trying to say I don’t need your bullshit when I am trying to live my life and treat all equal. Black, white, republican, democrat, gay, straight or whatever you identify with. I don’t care.. I never saw anyone as different, so why assume I do when you don’t know me. People are asking not to be judged, but they judge you if you don’t speak up or out about it. So I’m sick of the “Attitude”.
