SINK THE SHIP’s highly anticipated new album Persevere, came out two weeks ago via SharpTone Records. Today the band has launched another brand new music video via YouTube.

Colton (vocals) states: “‘Out Of Here’ ties in with the whole meaning and concept of the Persevere record. Our band had a pretty rough time fitting into the Cleveland scene for the first few years we existed. To be honest that‘s why we started touring and became super DIY. Just to get away from everything and sort of seek revenge through success. This song is for anybody willing to cut ties with anything holding them down and to keep their middle fingers aimed at the not so genuine people who come out of the woodwork when it‘s the cool thing to do.”

Markus Staiger (Nuclear Blast CEO / SharpTone Records Co-Founder) states: “SINK THE SHIP just delivered the best melodic metalcore debut! They created an epic album with an exceptional mixture of metalcore, pop punk and post-hardcore!”

Colton Ulery (vocals in SINK THE SHIP) further adds: “SINK THE SHIP took a break in 2017 to re-group and solidify what we wanted the band to be. During that time, SharpTone had made contact with me and we began sending them new material. We‘re so excited to be coming back and in partnership with them. The experience with the label has definitely been one to brag about. Such a phenomenal and hardworking staff.”

“We had the honour of creating this album with Bert and Eric Poncet from Chunk! No, Captain Chunk! There had been talks of doing a feature with Bert and after listening to all of the songs, we ended up deciding on ‘Domestic Dispute.’ Those guys are so great to work with. The studio quality and hospitality were more than exceptional.”
SINK THE SHIP erupted into the underground heavy music scene with their energetic, bold and bright post-hardcore and pop-punk infused blend of metalcore in 2012—and since then, they’ve been sailing stronger and stronger with each passing year. Within two years’ time, the band would release their debut effort, Reflections, a riveting—albeit rough around the edges—EP that spoke volumes to the band’s dedication to creating music true to themselves and worth its weight in powerful, emotive passion. With tales of adversity, animosity and inspiration aplenty, SINK THE SHIP are a prominent, powerhouse of a band making monstrous waves in the coming year.
