Hollywood Blues-funk rockers Vintage Trouble release a new single, Shinin’ today, This is the third single from the band’s forthcoming album, following the previous release of ‘The Love That Once Lingered’.
Sure to be included in this summer’s live shows (starting later this month), Shinin’ is taken from the forthcoming album Heavy Hymnal which is out on 23rd June through Cooking Vinyl.
Vocalist of Vintage Trouble, Ty Taylor comments on the track: “We wanted to create a spiritual song for the soul dance floors. Top of pandemic there was a heavy darkness that fell over us all. No one was dancing in the streets. Calls from friends and families all felt like cries for help. Feeling powerless is no way to roll. So, we wrote this anthem as an offering to not only each other and our circles but for the whole wide world. Even these days there is a hunger for metaphoric sunshine. There is a thirst for real joy ignition. Folks are scrambling and clamouring for something that shakes the blues away and invites them into and under a shower of sunshine. “Shinin” is the funky good time party we beg you RSVP “YES!” to and throw your heads back, hands in the air, push your pelvis’ and groove with us.”
Vintage Trouble comprises lead singer Ty Taylor, guitarist Nalle Colt, bassist Rick Barrio Dill, and drummer Richard Danielson. Taking the best parts of James Brown, Mick Jagger, Bruno Mars and Prince, vocalist Ty is widely regarded as one of the finest frontmen of his generation. The band will be bringing their electric live show to the UK from the end of this month including an appearance at Glastonbury Festival.
