Hotly tipped Glaswegians bid for glory
Melancholy, dance-like rhythms, soaring melodies and filth-ridden riffs would normally be dismissed as a strange and illegible concoction, but this is not the case with Glasgow five piece Servant Sun.
Formed in 2014, the band aren’t afraid to venture to different corners of metal, rock, prog and alternative, only to return bearing a massive platter of melody fuelled vocal lines and adrenaline pumping riffs. Servant Sun have achieved much in only two years, including as playing numerous sold out shows, touring UK wide and supporting the likes of Nothing More, Zoax, Exist Immortal and Halo Tora. The band have set their sights well beyond the scope of their home town, with an ambition as big as their sound.
Hundred Waves is the follow up to Servant Sun’s 2014 self titled debut EP. It was recorded in Glasgow with Goonzi (Bleed From Within) and mixed/mastered by legendary producer Mudrock (Avenged Sevenfold, Chimaira, Eighteen Visions).
Servant Sun have given us the first taste of Hundred Waves, in the form of the title track from the EP.
