Swedish punk rock outfit Rotten Mind returns with the new single “Pointless Love”. This single, alongside the soon to be released track “Visitor in the Present”, was recorded at the same time as Rotten Mind‘s latest, fifth studio album ‘Unflavored’ from 2022. While revisiting the darkened and melodic, guitar driven post-punk soundscapes of “Unflavored”, “Pointless Love” stands out from what the band has done before. Besides the new single, Rotten Mind also announce new live shows in Europe – dates below.

Pointless Love is about never growing up. Sometimes it can actually be reassuring to think about life as something pointless. Then it‘s up to you to make what you want out of it.
We wanted to try something else with this song, a different rhythm in the guitar riffs and stuff. What I like about it is that the song almost feels like the crescendo is in the verses, which is usually the other way around.
We‘re super happy to finally release these two songs. They were recorded at the same time as the ‘Unflavored’ album but we chose to do something else with them since the record felt done with the other songs. As you‘ll probably hear, they’re quite different from what we usually do.
