New video from Atlanta metallers

Atlanta-based metal band Cover Your Tracks has unveiled their video for Cages. The song is the second single from the band’s debut album Fever Dream.

An up-close look at Cover Your Tracks’ dynamic live show, the Cages video features gritty and riveting footage shot on their recent US tour supporting Ice Nine Kills. As vocalist Paul Rose explains, the song explores the negative impact of technology on human relationships.

“We could be really damaging the way we interact and not even know it,” says Rose. “I understand how helpful it is and I’m a hundred percent for technological progress—but just like everything, there must be a balance: no good without bad, no good without evil.”

With its heavy riffs, haunting piano work, and commanding vocal performance, the slow-burning but brutal Cages shows the scope and power of Cover Your Tracks’ sound. Released in September, Fever Dream channels that sound into 10 volatile and viscerally charged tracks.

Founded in 2014, Cover Your Tracks formed from the ashes of several bands within the metalcore/post-hardcore realm (including Decoder, Cursed Sails, and Woe, Is Me). Along with Rose, the band includes guitarist Omar Magana, bassist Cory Ferris, and drummer Brent Guistwite.
