First album for five years and there’s a track right here
The Drowning’s new album, Senescent Signs is out next month. After five years of silence the band are set to unveil their latest monument to doom and despair on June 3rd, through Casket Music.
The band are proud of it saying: “Senescent Signs is an album without weaknesses, with each song offering something magical in its wandering guitar melodies, staggeringly heavy riffs, bleak atmospheres and mesmerising structures. ”
These songs retain the gravitas and power of the past, but with an atmosphere of sadness, an aching grief and waves of melancholy that have rarely been heard before. New vocalist Matt Small has stepped into the void left by long-standing front man James Moore, bringing an unprecedented edge of raw emotion to The Drowning’s sombre sound and the band have responded by creating the heaviest, yet most beautiful, album to bear their name.
