Brutality from Brighton sees light of day in June
SIEGE MUSIC are delighted to announce the signing of brutal metal newcomers JONESTOWN, with their critically acclaimed debut LP Aokigahara out now on digital platforms and due for physical release on June 04.
In the band’s own words:“Since we formed as a band we have been very clear with the goal with Jonestown and where we wanted it to go – this has driven us to push ourselves creatively with song writing and physically at live shows to give the best experience we could. After putting so much energy and passion into the writing and recording of our debut album Aokigahara being approached by Siege Music is an utterly amazing feeling and it has taken the band to the next level which is going to allow us to push ourselves even further.”
Formed in 2014 in Brighton, Jonestown fuse the best of their influences to create powerful, technical, groove-laden brutality. Recommended for fans of Meshuggah, Lamb of God, Slipknot, Jonestown have already gained the attention of Metal Hammer with the digital release of their debut, Aokigahara, who stated they ‘transcend the swarm of killer UK debuts’, describing the album as ‘ballsy, catchy metal that will have fans of everyone from TesseracT to Slipknot grinning ear-to-ear and hurtling to the nearest pit’.
