The Members, in association with Cadiz Records, are pleased to announce an exclusive 45 RPM vinyl release celebrating 45 years of the band.
This release is a strictly limited edition, unique Double A-Side pressing containing the original 7″ Steve Lillywhite Mix of their 1979 iconic Anthem ‘The Sound of the Suburbs’ and the Martin Rushent Mix of Their US smash ‘Working Girl‘.
Pressed on White Vinyl and Limited to 1000 numbered units, the single comes with artwork by long-time Members collaborator and Buzzcocks New Wave Art Guru Malcolm Garrett MBE. This 7″ Mix was, for many years, very much buried in the basement of Abbey Road Studios with only the vastly inferior Album version available on digital, and the hundreds of CD compilations that this record is on. Whilst not a Hit in the UK ‘Working Girl’ is the band’s most successful record in the US, Australia and New Zealand, and was produced by the late Human League Producer Martin Rushent at the height of his powers.
Whilst original Singer Nicky Tesco sadly died in 2022, the core version of the band, JC Carroll, Chris Payne and Nick Cash continue to tour and are set to go into the studio this Year and begin work on their 8th Studio Album…
This record is Available from the Band’s Website and is Shipping Worldwide. Also available from Cadiz – please make sure you select your shipping region from the drop down Menu.
