Coventry charity festival announces final bands

After a successful inaugural show, when Mosh Against Cancer Coventry raised £1300 for Teenage Cancer Trust, the second annual event has already been announced and will be held on 6th – 9th April 2017.

Mosh Against Cancer Coventry now announce the final 11 bands for MACCOV17!

Joining the 22 already announced, are the 11 bands listed below, which brings a grand total of 33 bands over 4 days to the Arches Venue in Coventry.

Anihilated: Saturday headline

Formed in 1981 Anihilated quickly gained a reputation as one of the hardest working live bands on the circuit sharing the stage with their peers in such bands as Onslaught, Virus, Sabbat and Xentrix and also giving a leg up to the younger bands following them (a fresh faced Napalm Death were one particular support band that springs to mind).
If you want to see the very best in original early 80’s thrash, as unrelenting and pummelling today as it was in 1981 then look no further than Anihilated. This thrash juggernaut is showing no sign of stopping for anyone.

Virus: Sunday special guests | 30 year anniversary celebration

Virus were one of the pioneers of British Thrash Metal Formed in 1986 by H Heston & Tez Kaylor, members of the punk/oi! band Criminal Damage. They brought in John D Hess in their forming year & called on the services of Coke Finlay in 1987. Labelled the bad boys of Thrash metal because most of their gigs ending up in fights, drunken brawls & roadie punch ups.
2017 will see Virus’s 30 years as a band and new material on the horizon.
