PLENTY TO CROW ABOUT

Published:

Award-Winning, dynamic, 4-piece hard rockers, The Howling Tides —from Staffordshire in the UK — are proud to announce the release of their brand-new single ‘White Crow’. ‘White Crow’ will be released on 26th November, 2021 and pre-orders are now open for this excellent single.

Opening with a fierce riff, followed by the Tides’ trademark monsoon of hard rock sound and energy, plus Rob Baynes’ lead vocals, the lyrics unfold. The band explain that ’White Crow’ is about someone getting older and dealing with the challenges of life that come with that, while still living to the full and refusing to be held back. The journey of the song captures that defiance and maverick approach. We couldn’t be prouder to get this song out!” Listen out for some great guitar solos and haunting pulled-back moments as the song develops too.

The Howling Tides brings together Rob Baynes (lead vocals/guitar); Hayden Kirk (guitar/backing vocals); Adam Brewell (bass/backing vocals); and Steven ‘Herbie’ Herbert (drums).

They’ve built their rep and momentum with some powerhouse releases and with high-profile festival successes at Steelhouse, Planet Rockstock, Rock and Blues and — most recently — Bloodstock.

As Bloodstock noted, “Since they first appeared on the UK music scene in 2018, The Howling Tides have quickly earned a reputation as a ferocious live act who have more in common with The Almighty and The Wildhearts than the young new wave of Classic rock scene. Their high-energy approach is a breath of fresh air to an industry overpopulated with bands that all tend to sound the same.”

Planet Rock Magazine summed them up thus: “The Howling Tides are a gimmick-free band who play muscular rock delivered with brute force.”

One mark of their success was their recent Young Blood Award from HRH VI (2021).

Ricky Warwick (lead singer of Black Star Riders and Thin Lizzy, plus former frontman of The Almighty and more) sings their praises: “The Howling Tides are one of those unique bands that when they come along remind us why we fell in love with rock ‘n’ roll, and why we still are.”
