BRELAND and Morgan Wade are two artists breaking the mould of country music in 2022. Although both have strong ties to Nashville (BRELAND by way of New Jersey, and Morgan Wade a Virginia native), the two artists have cast away the stereotypes of the city, developing unique and individual sounds all their own, whilst rapidly becoming the new stars of the scene.
Signed to Atlantic Records, BRELAND intertwines a blend of R&B, hip hop and gospel with country guitars to create a funky Southern inspired sound. His debut single ‘My Truck’ in 2019 became a tearaway hit achieving platinum certification and topped Spotify’s Global Viral 50. BRELAND kicked off 2022 being featured in a number of coveted tips including Spotify’s Hot County 2022 Artists To Watch, American Songwriter’s 12 Artists to Watch in 2022, CMT Listen Up Class of 2022 and Amazon Music’s Breakout Artist.
BRELAND is gearing up to release his debut album this year and will release his new single ‘Praise The Lord’ on March 7th, which he has been teasing to his fans on TikTok. He will debut the full track live as he performs at the AMC Awards on the same day in Las Vegas, broadcast worldwide on Amazon Prime.
Morgan Wade meanwhile has captured the hearts of fans and critics around the world with her debut album Reckless, a stunning record of Tom Petty-esque rock, classic country guitars and captivating pop inspired hooks. Signing to Sony Music this year the new deluxe edition of the album immediately became Radio 2’s Album Of The Week upon its Jan 31st release. And the tearaway single ‘Wilder Days’ was also championed as Record Of The Week and has became an A-List mainstay at the station for well over a month, along with radio play across many other UK stations.
Morgan’s album sits proudly at No.1 in Rolling Stone’s Best Country and Americana Albums of 2021 list, but its cross-genre appeal also finds it at No.13 in the main best of albums list across all genres too. It’s also No.4 with Stereogum, No.5 for Billboard and features in many more. Morgan has also been named as one of Amazon Music’s Artists To Watch 2022, Spotify’s Hot Country Artist To Watch 2022, Apple Music’s Best Of 2021. Pandora’s Artists To Watch 2022 and YouTube Music’s Trending Artist On The Rise.
C2C Festival will be the first time both artists ever perform in the UK. Morgan Wade will be performing on the Main Stage across all arenas including The O2 Arena, London (March 11th), The Ovo Hydro, Glasgow (March 12th), and Dublin’s 3Arena (March 13th).
