NEW FERAL FAMILY SONG

Published:

“Never did find love”, opines vocalist Jamie Lowe on the opening of Feral Family’s latest, assuring it probably won’t feature on a playlist of festive bangers at this year’s office party.

“I wanted to capture that moment of surrender when hope fades”, says Lowe. “It’s not just about losing love, it’s about losing faith in the idea of it”.

A Blues-tinged lament, Down In The Dirt eschews the band’s trademark urgency, languorously peeling back a tale of loss and longing before guitarist Oscar Woods finally unleashes sound and fury in the cataclysmic final third of the track.

A live force to be reckoned with, previously supporting the likes of The View, the Lilacs and The Heavy North, Feral Family play their final headline show for 2025 on December 18, prior to headline shows across the UK in the new year:

December 18 – Aaatma, Manchester.

Support comes from The Social Club and special guest TBA

With multiple Top 10 charting singles already under their belt, the band has received such prestigious radio advocacy as John Kennedy (Radio X), Steve Lamacq (6Music) and Jericho Keys / BBC Introducing (twice to date as ‘Featured Artist’). Feral Family’s music has also featured in E4’s ‘Made In Chelsea’ and on The Independent’s ‘Now Hear This’ playlist.

Down In The Dirt is the third single released from Feral Family’s sophomore EP, due in February 2026.
