Pronostic, though, are bringing it back
While melodic death metal in its purest form has become a beaten to death style, Montreal based act Pronostic stands as one of a handful of groups moving the sound forwards by merging it with elements of technical death metal to create something special.
Active since 2010, Pronostic had previously released an EP in 2012 called Deviated Inner Spectrum. On November 21st they unleashed their debut full-length, An Atomic Decision, upon the world. Comparisons to the sonic stylings of acts such as Allegaeon and Arsis hold true, but Pronostic’s blend between melodic and technical realms has a progressive vibe to it all its own.
