Critically acclaimed and fast-rising London duo Ferris & Sylvester have released the video for their new song ‘London’s Blues’.
The video is the second in a series of videos directed by Neil Pymer (Aardman Studios) and follows the recent release of the beautifully animated ‘Sometimes’. The new video features the band performing in a private members club as women seduce an overwhelmed guest.
Regarding the video Ferris & Sylvester say, “We had a lot of fun building up the ideas for this one with Neil. He was really interested in how the song moved, with its dark undertones put to an upbeat rhythm. The song is all about being a narcissist and the greed that comes with it; and nothing shows that more than seducing a man, tying him up and covering him in lipstick.”
‘London’s Blues’ has had great support from Radio 2, with Cerys Matthews a particularly big fan of the band at the station on her Monday night Blues Show. The song has also been selected to soundtrack the current Pukka Pies TV advert.
The song is taken from Ferris & Sylvester’s latest EP Made In Streatham, which was released earlier this year. As the stand out single, ‘London’s Blues’ reached the Spotify UK Viral Chart Top 20.
Upon release the Made In Streatham EP topped the iTunes Singer-Songwriter Chart, clocked up millions of plays on Spotify and has been receiving great radio support from Radio 2, BBC 6Music and BBC Introducing, while also achieving critical praise from the likes of The Sun, The Independent and many more.
Ferris & Sylvester are prolific names on the live scene and have played to thousands of people this year. They have played in support of the likes of Eric Clapton, Robert Plant, George Ezra, Gary Barlow and James Blunt, while they have also played high profile festivals including Cornbury, BST Hyde Park, Cambridge Folk Festival and the main stage at Wilderness Festival among many others.
The band have further upcoming shows in London and will play with Donovan Frankenreiter at Dingwalls on October 8th and Trampled By Turtles at the Electric Ballroom on November 16th.
