French art-rock outfit Klone have shared fan-filmed videos of acoustic performances of ‘Interlaced‘ and ‘The Unseen‘, the opening track and title track from their forthcoming full-length album, ‘The Unseen‘, set for release on November 8th, 2024 through Berlin’s Pelagic Records.

Filmed at Le Ferrailleur in Nantes, France shortly after the band returned from touring the UK with Polish prog-rock band Riverside, the videos marks the debut performance of these new pieces on home soil and serve as a spellbinding insight into the newfound musical and lyrical vulnerabilities that Klone explore on ‘The Unseen’.

An immersive, dreamlike experience that pushes Klone’s already sumptuous sound to new, magisterial heights, ‘The Unseen’ charts a bold, introspective course into our sense of self and speaks to the significance of things that might at first glance seem to lack it. Whether in full amplified might or, as in this case, stripped-back to its delicate acoustic core, every track on ‘The Unseen’ pushes the band to their expressive limit with an intensity that, whilst sometimes abrasive, simultaneously feels natural, coherent and unified as the band move from motif, message and melody as one; guided as ever by the unmistakable voice and vision of Yann Ligner.

With such an inimitable 25 years of music already behind them, it seems apt that ‘The Unseen’ will also be Klone’s 10th full-length release. The album serves as a milestone that uses reflections on the past as a means of appreciating the beauty of the present, with the band employing their shared decades of creativity and collaboration to offer enlightening new perspectives on the here and now.

‘The Unseen’ is released 8th November, 2024.

Klone’s Guillaume Bernard:

“It just felt right to debut ‘Interlaced’ and ‘The Unseen’ in France at this concert; in a beloved venue, to a warm and welcoming audience. It’s always a stressful moment to play songs that the audience doesn’t know, and there’s definitely a certain fragility to this performance, but we think it lends it a certain charm. They’re raw, unedited versions, spontaneously captured by a fan, which just makes the moment even more special.”
