Podcast enjoys bumper week

Not-for-profit podcast and website Don’t Fret Club (dontfret.club) are delighted to announce their new website and changes to the community. To recap on their bumper week please see the links below.

Don’t Fret Club is a new initiative, a crossroads of mental health discussion and music. A not-for-profit podcast, website and communal space of discussion and guest articles (curated and hosted by Jessica Bridgeman), Don’t Fret Club aims to raise awareness of mental health in young people, harnessing the music community to help host an empowering conversation around depression, anxiety and conduct disorders.

Episode 6: The Cathartic Confidence Podcast with Black FoxxesFollowing Don’t Fret Club’s earlier conversation with Black Foxxes this summer, this podcast focuses on the cathartic nature of making music together and how it helps them.

Black Foxxes stunning new record I’m Not Well focuses on Mark’s ongoing experience with mental illness. Something he’s found space to open up about on the album, with lyrics painting a picture of his darkest times, through to the support of his bandmates and how it all impacts the recording and touring process.

Episode 5: The Positive Friendships Podcast with SlowcoachesLondon trio Slowcoaches have been huge supporters of the Don’t Fret Clubpodcast since launch so it seemed only right to have them in for episode five. 

Helping to kickstart the themed episodes, this podcast hears from vocalist and bassist Heather Perkins about the importance of prioritising positive friendships; taking inspiration from tracks like Ex Head.

Plus the podcast looks ahead to the release of their debut album, Nothing Gives and the band talk tips on dealing with nerves.
