11/11/16 saw the release of Mallen’s latest single “Jack of Cards”, recorded at “Red City Recordings” and Produced by David Radahd-Jones (aka “Johnny Rocker”, ex Heavens Basement). “Jack of Cards” is a groove-centric, riff laden, hard rock song with a punchy chorus and soft melodic verses. “Jack of Cards” reflects on an individuals view of those who are consumed by self indulgence, a need for more and to control through emotional torment, blackmail and materialism.
Hailing from the West Midlands (the home of all things rock and metal), Mallen are a 5 piece, hard rock outfit that have the power of “Halestorm” and described by “Kerrang’s Johnny Doom” as “A female fronted Alter Bridge”. Mallen pride their music on empowerment, strength and courage.
