Hey, You’re Walking In A Coma

UK Riff beasts set loose their new EP all in October.

Hailing from the muddy tides of the Thames estuary(aka Southend), Essex metallers ‘Walk In Coma’ bring together a hearty sound by lifting from the powers of Machine Head and Pantera, through to the contemporary guile of Architects. The Southern metalheads are comprised of Alex Adlington (Vocals), Mark Elliott & James Cater (Guitars), Tom Case (Bass), and Joe Reid (Drums), and have already ripped up stages in the nation’s capital and throughout the South, playing with everyone from Breed 77 to Funeral For A Friend.

With the band’s live reputation growing daily, the rising riff lords have switched their focus towards recording, and this year the quintet marched into the studio to record their new EP ‘Narrenturm’. After a series of intense sessions, the band completed their record. The EP comes at you with the eerie soundscapes of ‘Fool’s Tower’, which lulls you in before the jack hammer blows of ‘Raising Hell’ pummel your senses repeatedly with their pounding riffery and Adlington’s full throat attack. The groove and swagger of ‘Nein’ is next up and it shows the fivesome’s ability to diversify and push open the envelope. ‘Asylum’ then spews out at you with its stout delivery and frantic drumming, while ‘Retreat’ will tear your face clean off. The EP’s closer, ‘The Fire’, twist & turns and unleashes a dynamic refrain that proves again that there are many layers to Walk In Coma.

Now, armed with a slew of fans, the stage is set for the band to kick on and break out to the nation. Look out for tour dates and show announcements this Autumn.
