Following the release of their self-titled debut album, unveiled to rapturous support from fans and critics alike back in May of 2019, Cambridgeshire-based rock quartet Hollowstar have seen their stock skyrocket, culminating in a headline UK tour and the announcement of their first excursion onto European soil, touring alongside Skid Row this November. Never the type to rest on their laurels however, the lads are back with a brand new music video for the album’s third single, fan-favourite track “Good Man Gone”, set for release on Friday 27th September.

Holding particular significance for the band members themselves, “Good Man Gone” pays homage to a childhood friend; one who unfortunately lost the arduous battle with depression that pervades the lives and minds of all too many individuals. Channelling this loss into inspiration, the end result is a powerful tribute that serves both as an epic tale of inner turmoil and a rallying call to listeners, urging them to offer a shoulder to those who need it, rather than a solemn goodbye.

The video itself, produced by Tom Norris of Icarus Films, follows the band throughout their aforementioned headline tour, offsetting the arguably sombre lyrical tone of the song with an energetic showcase of the highs of a life on stage. Intertwining live performance shots with some choice behind-the-scenes moments, the ‘tour diary’ feel of the video allows viewers to join the band on their journey and serves as an apt celebration of the man who inspired it all.
