Finnish rock n rollers with a message
The most undisciplined rock band of Kemi, Slap Betty! is here to introduce their second album “Nothing Out of Nothing.”
The group formed in 2007 has accidentally cut electricity from Backyard Babies, been in a car accident on their way to take a picture with Santa and visited the Finnish Official Chart with their debut album 94720 (2013). Their guitarist is usually lost, the last sight of him at the moment is from Russia…
Among with honest rock’n’roll Nothing Out Of Nothing speaks also out about the way things are right now: “I’ve always said told that I’m not gonna write songs about current topics and I’m not interested writing about those.
“But this album includes some songs criticizing society that are screaming for the pain and insecurity – even hatred – of a normal Finnish working man who is trying to support his family. The first song of the album, “World We Leave Behind,” is written for Mr. Alexander Stubb, the former Prime Minister and current Minister of Finances in Finland”, says Teemu Ylinikka, the lead singer and guitar player of the band.
