GETTING KINKSY WITH FERRIS AND SYLVESTER

Published:

Critically acclaimed duo Ferris & Sylvester have today released their live cover of The Kink’s classic ode to London, ‘Waterloo Sunset’.

Regarding the choice of cover Ferris & Sylvester say, “We chose this song because we think it absolutely encapsulates what it means to be young, lost and living in London. It ties in with all the themes behind our ‘Made In Streatham EP’ and pays homage to truly amazing, timeless songwriting.”

Following their take on ‘Waterloo Sunset’ going down a storm at Radio 2 when the pair played it live in session for the station, Ferris & Sylvester have decided to officially release the song in celebration of the start of their festival season, where they play The Great Escape Festival today.

It marks the beginning of a busy summer of high profile shows for the pair, which includes supporting Robert Plant at The Bath Festival on May 27th, playing with James Blunt at the Royal Hospital, Chelsea on June 16th and opening for Gary Barlow at Blenheim Palace on June 17th.

The band have also been announced to play a number of summer festivals including Cornbury Festival, Neverworld by Leefest, Wilderness Festival, Cambridge Folk Festival and more across the country. Full Ferris & Sylvester tour dates can be found below:
